The celebrated companies changing how we move in a city take the fundamentals of an old system and make it slightly better. Uber makes taxis better, Lyft makes becoming a driver easier, Zipcar makes car ownership easier. What happens when you redefine the foundation of why people move in a city and focus on building a system around a promise and a methodology of solving problems rather than providing cars?  This conversation will explore the foundation of the idea and why we believe the future of mobility is less about cars and more about solving problems, it’s about digging deeper and solving the less obvious problems.

The social media landscape is no longer defined only by first-generation social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. With millennials turning to new social networks and smartphone adoption nearing 60 percent of all American adults, a whole new wave of mobile-social applications has emerged. Today there is a social network for everything – from Instagram and Snapchat for photos, to Vine and Keek for videos, and Quora and Jelly for Q&As. Even Forbes recently launched its own mini social network called Stream.  With the fracturing of the social space, brands need a new roadmap to connect with consumers on the social web. Most social networks are now offering multiple types of paid advertising, adding new areas of opportunity and challenge for brands to figure out where to spend their social ad dollars for the biggest impact. Meanwhile, brands also face new challenges to getting their organic content seen and shared in today’s noisier, more frenetic social world.
