LinkedIn Names Brian Solis as an Official Influencer

Brian Solis has been named to LinkedIn’s new list of Influencers joining the likes of President Barack Obama, CEO Richard Branson, Arianna Huffington, T. Boone Pickens among only 400 others.  The new program offers the 175 million users of the professional networking site the chance to follow the musings and expert advice from a panel of universally-recognized thought leaders and industry-specific movers and shakers.

The hand-selected Influencer panel includes business moguls, politicians, Internet bloggers, self-help gurus and entrepreneurs. Solis joins Altimeter founder Charlene Li, along with the likes of President Obama, Richard Branson, T. Boone Pickens, Craig Newmark, Reid Hoffman, and Arianna Huffington.

The program debuted in October and allows participating thought leaders to publish long-form articles, status updates, and presentations to their follower base. Solis will provide an interesting array of content surrounding the changing consumer landscape, disruptive technology, business transformation, social and mobile media, and the evolution of the digital lifestyle in culture and society.
